Gem is a cum laude graduate of BS Nursing at the University of Santo Tomas. She was a licensed nurse trained locally and in UK & Australia. She took units for Master of Arts in Nursing Administration at Centro Escolar University. She was also a Clinical Instructor at the same university. She was trained in Orton-Gillingham approach under the tutelage of Ron Yoshimoto. She is now a full-time mom to two beautiful kids, Paulo and Paulina.
